Bashir joins Knights Professional Services
A top East Midlands lawyer is set to bring more than 20 years experience to Knights Professional Services after joining the firm s Derby office as a partner in the regulatory team. Zaf Bashir joins Knights from Derby-based Flint Bishop where he spent 23 years, the last 13 as one of the equity partners. During this time he increased revenue for his department five-fold and played a major role in the growth of the business before deciding to leave in March 2015. Bashir said: The legal market has changed significantly throughout my career and after developing a strong client base and reputation in the East Midlands I was keen to join a quality firm like Knights.

Bashir is one of seven partners to join the firm s Derby office in recent months. This is a pivotal time for Knights as it completes the major acquisition of regional firm Darbys Solicitors. The acquisition will see Knights become a top-100 law firm with a 40 million turnover. Zaf s appointment is one of many in recent months that is not only putting our Derbyshire office on the map, but growing the network of professionals that will be based across seven regional offices. Knights is located in Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Cheshire and Staffordshire and will be working from new locations in Oxford, Hale and Colchester once the acquisition with Darbys Solicitors is complete in January 2016.
