WNJ has played a key role in an investment deal which has seen a Derbyshire-based haulage and logistics company driving towards future expansion. The WNJ team, led by senior partner Ian Johnson, worked closely with Manchester-based businessman Gary Major over his plans to make a major investment in RG Fenn, based in Burton upon Trent. Well-established haulage contractor RG Fenn can count a number of blue-chip companies as its clients.
Ian Johnson worked closely with Mr Major over a nine-month period to secure the deal, which was completed last month. Preston-based Vincents Solicitors and a major investment bank were also involved in the process. Mr Major, who has joined the management team, said: I couldn t have done the deal without Ian and WNJ.
He was as driven as I was to make sure the deal happened. Ian and WNJ were extremely supportive throughout the process and worked tirelessly throughout the process. The new investor in the business has massive experience in the logistics sector and the company is now looking to build on its success and to offer an increased number of services.
He said: We d like to look at expanding over a period of time. Ian Johnson, who specialises in business development, strategic planning and acquisitions and mergers at WNJ, said: We are delighted to have played our part in securing this investment deal. The team at WNJ was on hand to provide support and advice to Mr Major throughout the negotiations, which went on over some period of time.
RG Fenn has several blue chip companies and a great reputation in its sector.
